How to make egg yolk powder using a dehydrator

Step by step guide on making homemade egg yolk powder
- Crack eggs and separate egg yolks from egg whites.
- Put the egg yolks onto a dehydrator tray.
- Break the egg yolk and evenly distribute the egg yolk onto the dehydrator tray (thin layer is preferable since moisture can be evaporated faster).
- Put the dehydrator tray into the dehydrator and dehydrate for 24 hours at 65 degree celsius (optional: you can break, flip and stir the egg yolk layer periodically.
- Put the dehydrated egg yolk sheet into a blender and blend into powder (you can put in fridge for a while before blending, to let the exuded oil firms up a bit).
- Pour the egg yolk powder into a glass container and store in the refrigerator.
